The State of New York, and the New York Metropolitan area in particular, are one of the most vibrant and busy markets in the nation for both electricians and electrical systems technicians. And at the heart of that area is the Ï㽶ÊÓƵ Queens campus, which trains individuals interested in joining a stable industry.

Ï㽶ÊÓƵ’s electrical school combines high-voltage electrical and low-voltage electronic systems technology into one program that helps maximize your career possibilities when you graduate. The Electrical and Electronic Systems Technology (EEST) program is designed to help you enter what the U.S. Department of Labor has designated a Green Increased Demand occupation. Combined, New Jersey and nearby New York predict almost 76,000 job openings in the field through 2030².

Graduates of the EEST program can pursue positions as entry-level electrician apprentices, or go to work for a contractor that specializes in electronic systems installation and maintenance. Both have a wide range of career possibilities helping residential customers with cable and satellite TV installations, home theater setup, and whole home electronics.

Highlights of Electrical and Electronics Systems Program

• Knowledge of electrical and electronics principles
• Obtain residential wiring knowledge and practice
• Learn computers and networking
• Fiber optics, security and fire alarm systems
• How telecommunication systems work with home systems
• Security and closed-circuit TV systems

Upon graduation, you will have the opportunity to apply for a position with Johnson Controls, a global provider of integrated "smart" technology that powers more efficient and sustainable buildings and communities. Ï㽶ÊÓƵ is a trusted training partner of Johnson Controls, and the EEST program is taught using their equipment in classrooms sponsored by this technology leader.
